BOSKOVSKI: I HAVE NO CREDIBILITY TO DISSOLVE THE 'LIONS'
MIA
"I have no credibility to dissolve the 'Lions', while they will be transformed in some more relaxed circumstances, which we all hope are due to come," said Ljube Boskovski on Saturday.
According to him, "the requests from the international community are not a problem. On the contrary, our 'servile characters' are the problem now, for they forget that the dissolving of such a unit means weaker security system of the Republic of Macedonia."
"'The Lions' did not cause any troubles, but were determined to defend the Macedonian sovereignty even if it is life threatening," stressed the Minster of Interior.
About the happenings during the workers' protests in front of the Macedonian Parliament, he said he would never use force in any case, as "the Lions are not formed for theatre performances."
The journalist's question on details about the criminal charges against the former Minister of Interior Ljubomir Frckovski and his closer associates, Boskovski says, "if the Public Prosecution drops these criminal charges, that would mean the end for the legal state".
"If they drop the charges, I will resign from my position as a Minister of Interior," says Boskovski. "It is impossible to keep quiet about an attentat over a President of State, disregarding the necessary efforts to find the perpetrator of the act," he added.
Boskovski announces new criminal charges that would prevent the economic crime, especially the tax evasion. "In the last few months we submitted total of 465 criminal charges against persons in charge that were appointed in the ruling period of VMRO-DPMNE," said Boskovski.
"We have to be aware of the fact that in the ruling period of SDSM, more that 90 per cent of the Macedonian economy were privatized. The question is - How many criminal charges were filed in that period of time," said Boskovski.
Police Has Suspects For Last Week's Attack on DPA Strongman.

Skopje, April 6 (MIA) - Following the incident in Tetovo two days ago, when the Restaurant Dora, i.e. the alternative Headquarters of the Democratic Party of the Albanians was attacked, aiming to eliminate the DPA vice-president, Menduh Taci and his closest associates and high party officials, who were in the restaurant at that time, the Macedonian Ministry of Interior conducted an investigation, in accordance with its legal authorizations.
According to the preliminary findings, there are some suspicions that the person V.K., a Macedonian citizen of Albanian origin was involved in the case.
The Ministry continues its investigation, until the rest of the accomplices in this incident are revealed.
The Ministry of Interior, as stated in the report, denounces such violation of the public order and peace in the country, as it threatens the security of the citizens in this region.
Airforce On Strike.
Reality Macedonia Irina Gelevska
Petrovec The average salary of military pilots and technical personnel in the Macedonian Air force range from 9,000 denars (150 euros) to 56,000 denars (930 euros). The significant range of the salaries is one of the reasons for the first strike of the pilots and technicians last week.
According to the law based on [Article 38 in the older version of] Constitution of the Republic of Macedonia, the Air force employees can go on strike for three days. Half of the pilots of the airplanes and helicopters and half of the technicians were on strike a week ago to warn the Minister of Defense, Vlado Popovski, and the other half of the personnel that they have done their everyday duties. The strikers handed over a few requests to the Defense Minister. The first one being equal criteria for salaries in every unit of the Macedonian Army (ARM). The second request is to find flats for the families of the pilots and technicians. The third request is an adoption of a new law for serving in the Armed Forces, which will include standards for protection of the soldiers. The pilots want the Ministry of Defense to grant them the flag that they were serving under during the conflict in the country last year.
The Minister of Defense, Vlado Popovski, blamed the Minister of Finance, Nikola Gruevski, for all problems concerning the Air force. According to him, the Ministry of Finance was the one which cut the budget of the Ministry of Defense.
The Minister of Finance, Nikola Gruevski, said in his statement to the media today that the Minister of Defense knows that the salaries of the pilots and the technicians were increased during the conflict last year because of overtime work. "Popovski is lying that the salaries were increased last year from 30 to 50%," said Gruevski.
"The pilots and the technicians have every right to strike, because any salary in the Army is at least twice as less than the salary of the Police," says the Army Spokesman, Colonel Blagoja Markovski, in his support to the strikers.
It is not a secret that the Army whose Commander in Chief is the President Boris Trajkovski is not on the top list of Prime Minister, Ljupcho Georgievski, who supports the police and its Minister, Ljube Boskovski.
Because of the political fight between the President and the Prime Minister, the Army and the police can not even form a joined unit for fighting the terrorists. This unit should have between 1,200 to 3,000 members, but so far only the Army Special Units are involved in this training. The dozen instructors of the police that finished the training in Shtip were rewarded by the Minister of Police, Ljube Boshkovski, but they do not train other police officers for antiterrorism fight.
The Ministry of Finance has cut the budget for the other Special Units of the Army known as The Wolves and The Scorpions. The explanation for this is that the war is over.
This may mean that as of Monday, not only the Air force but possibly even the Special Units will also go on strike. BELENE N-PLANT - CONSTRUCTION.

Government Plans to Resume Construction of Belene N-Plant, Saxe-Coburg-Gotha Says at Constituent Meeting of SNM Party.
Sofia, April 6 (BTA) - Simeon Saxe-Coburg-Gotha, Prime Minister and leader of the Simeon II National Movement (SNM), said on Saturday that the Government plans to resume the construction of the nuclear power plant at Belene [frozen in the early 1990s over environmental considerations] by meeting all modern standards for safety and reliability.
This will guarantee Bulgaria's energy independence over the next decades, Saxe-Coburg-Gotha said in his closing address to the participants in the constituent meeting of the SNM party.
Bulgaria will continue to be one of the major energy sources in the Balkans, he said. "Observing the agreement reached with the European Union, including the commitments assumed by this country's previous governments, we will not betray the national interests in the field of nuclear power generation," the Prime Minister said.
"The projects, the financing of which has been guaranteed and which will improve Bulgaria's infrastructure and communications in the next three years, total over 1,000 million euros; one-third of this amount will be provided under the European Union programmes," Saxe-Coburg-Gotha said. One of these projects is the construction of a second bridge across the Danube at Vidin Calafat, he said.
"Today Bulgaria faces the challenge of taking the place it deserves among the EU member states, that is why we will be persistent and consistent in all our efforts, and loyal in honouring our commitments," Saxe-Coburg-Gotha said in his speech.
In his words, a decisive step towards improvement of people's living standards is the creation of new jobs and the implementation of a comprehensive strategy for the development of Bulgarian economy.
